The Importance of Being Strategic

At Arch Communications, we help with many different things; press releases, brochures, rebrands and websites, to name but a few. But such things have limited value unless they fit into a wider strategy.

The first thing we always ask a prospective client is: why do you want this service? It may seem like a strange question when someone is looking to give us business, but we want to offer something that is of real value.

It is all too easy to spend heavily on a flashy campaign and then be shocked by how little it achieves. Applying a bit of strategic thinking helps to avoid such disappointment – and that is where we come in.

When people ask us to sum up what Arch Communications does, we say: “We help people work out what their story is”. In other words, we apply strategy.

So before you commit your hard-earned cash to marketing or PR activity, ask yourself a few simple questions:

*What am I trying to achieve?

*Who am I trying to reach?

*How will I measure success?

*What is our story – what makes us stand out from the crowd?

*How does this fit in with our overall business plan?

Knowing the answers to these questions will make you more confident that your PR and marketing will succeed, because you will have thought it through.

Our job is to help you get that thinking right.
