In the Saddle for Rushcliffe

At Arch Communications we’re passionate about contributing to our community. So we’ve jumped at the chance to assist our local council, Rushcliffe, with a top sporting event…

The Tour of Britain takes place next month, and a big part of Stage Seven is in Rushcliffe, Arch’s home borough. On 8 September some of the world’s best cyclists will be passing within yards of our East Leake HQ.

The excitement’s already building. Rushcliffe Council wants to take advantage of the attention this occasion will bring and show visitors they don’t have to rush off after the race. There are plenty of attractions nearby to encourage them to linger a little longer.

With this in mind we offered to provide free specialist support, by preparing social media content about what Rushcliffe has to offer. It will be tweeted and posted by the Council during the bike race, to promote the area as a tourist destination.

There’s so much on our doorstep – museums, nature walks and country parks, vineyards, a steam railway, and top sporting venues like Trent Bridge and the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont.

We don’t mind admitting that we’ve learned a few things ourselves, while doing our research!

So if you’re planning to visit Rushcliffe for the Tour of Britain, be sure to take full advantage and make a day/weekend of it. There’s so much to do, you’ll just have to come back and visit us again!
